Celebrations all round as the first harvest of the “new”garden is admired. This follows a very difficult 2013 which saw Tapologo bent under numerous funding cut-backs which led, amongst other things, to the suspension of the vegetable garden activities. Thanks to support from the North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP), new life was breathed into the vegetable garden at the beginning of 2014. After preparations, planting and months of care, the first vegetables were harvested. These vegetables will be used by the Tapologo Orphan and Vulnerable Children’s Programme where we feed between 150 to 180 children daily.
